Gardens on Anderton

The Gardens on Anderton promote wellness through interactive gardening activities. Open to the public from May to September by donation. Members can take part in many kinds of gardening activities and social events. The garden is a venue that can be rented for weddings and other private gathering.

We are a not-for-profit organization, run completely by volunteers.
We reside on a two-acre parcel of land, leased to us for $1 per year by the owners of the Anderton Nursery.

We provide:
– community access to 45 ground-level and raised garden plots;
– an interactive children’s garden
– fully accessible outdoor gathering spaces for those in congregate care environments, and provide support to non-profit organizations with a location for gatherings;
– affordable and visually appealing outdoor venue for weddings, celebrations of life, and community musical events;
– therapeutic opportunities for volunteers, e.g. hosting, gardening, watering, shop sales, event coordination & support, etc.
